AIP is Pleased to Introduce Our New Dental Hygienist, Cori!

Cori was raised in Frederick and was part of the first class at Tuscarora High School. She continued her education at Salisbury University majoring in Elementary Education, but decided to enter the health field and pursue dental hygiene. She prides herself on being thorough, yet gentle, and the care she gives each patient allows for comfort and confidence during hygiene therapy appointments. Her favorite part of dental hygiene is getting to know her patients, but she also loves being able to help instill confidence through a smile. She believes the most important part of dental hygiene is educating patients on proper oral care and encouraging good habits and she is dedicated to improving a patient’s individualized homecare. Her husband, Eric, and three children, Grayson, Gwen and Garrett are her greatest joy and she has been very fortunate in her ability to balance her career and home life. She loves making home improvements, woodworking, and being outdoors with her family. She knows dental work is something most patients do not enjoy, but she hopes to change their minds and provide each patient with a comfortable and pleasant experience.

Remember to Smile!

The average woman smiles 62 times a day. The average man smiles about 8 times a day.

Did You Know?!

That 25% of adults DO NOT brush their teeth twice a day.  This increases their risk of developing tooth decay by 33%.

The AIP team is pleased to share another five star review with you!

“Dr. Towe and her staff are very professional from the moment you walk in. They are helpful with explaining the steps of the procedure and are skilled at what they do! Dr. Towe is very personable but also has a very professional perspective with the way she communicates with her patients. I have had two surgeries with AIP and have had great results!”

Grafting Facts:

Gum Grafts: Exposed tooth roots are the result of gum recession. Gum graft surgery will repair the defect and help to prevent additional recession and bone loss. Gum grafts can be used to cover roots or develop gum tissue where absent due to excessive gingival recession. During gum graft surgery, your periodontist takes gum tissue from your palate or another donor source to cover the exposed root. This can be done for one tooth or several teeth to even your gum line and reduce sensitivity.
